URL Safety Checker
Analyze suspicious links for phishing indicators, hidden destinations, and security flaws before you click.
?What is a Heuristic Scan?
Unlike a database check that only knows about already reported malicious sites, a heuristic scan analyzes the characteristics of a URL.
Phishers frequently change domains to avoid blacklists. Our scanner looks for "fingerprints" of malicious behavior—like using raw IP addresses, hiding behind shorteners, or using "look-alike" keywords meant to deceive your eyes.
How to Spot a Phishing Link
Check the Subdomain
Is it "paypal.com" or "paypal.verify-secure.net"? Real brands always use their primary domain.
The Urgency Trick
Malicious links often come in emails threatening to close your account if you don’t click "Now".
HTTP vs HTTPS
While many phishing sites use SSL today, a site without HTTPS in 2024 is inherently unsafe.
Hover Before You Click
On a computer, hover over a link to see the real destination in the bottom corner of your browser.
A Note on Safety
This scanner is an automated diagnostic tool. A high score (100) means no obvious red flags were found, but it does not guarantee a site is 100% safe. Always exercise caution when entering passwords or financial data on unfamiliar websites.
